Happy New Year from everyone at Turner Access; we hope you had an enjoyable and restful holiday. 2017 is already shaping up to be an exciting year for the Company with some major changes in management personnel.
Firstly, it is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of Turner Access Managing Director, Ian Wilson; who joined the Company in June 2012 from scaffold industry leaders Layher. When Ian retires, his service to the scaffolding industry will have spanned 16 years.
After almost 5 years with Turner Access, Ian hands over management of the Company to Knud Pedersen. We wish Ian all the best for a long and happy retirement.
Knud Højland Pedersen will join us on 1st March 2017 as Managing Director for Turner Access, replacing Ian Wilson who will be retiring on 31st March 2017.
Knud joins us from IBF Ghana Ltd, where he has held the post of Managing Director for over a year. Knud has spent over 17 years in the access, scaffolding and construction-related industries, at senior management level.
Previously, Knud held the post of General Manager at G.S.V. Materieludlejning A/S, formerly Pitzner, where he was instrumental in establishing the distributor relationship with Turner Access. Ian and Knud developed this into a successful partnership between Turner Access and GSV/Pitzner, which continues to benefit both companies.
We are also pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Lorensen, who joined us on the 1st January 2017 as Regional Sales Manager for Denmark.
Michael also joins us from GSV/Pitzner, where he played a pivotal role in growing the distributor partnership with Turner Access. Michael has spent 18 years in the scaffolding industry; 8 years as a scaffolder on and offshore and 10 years where he has been dealing with the sale and rental of scaffolding material.
We welcome both Knud and Michael to Turner Access and look forward to working together over the coming years.
