MEWP - mobile elevating work platform.

The penetration of powered access products into the traditional scaffolding and ladder market continues to grow, and Mobile Elevating Work Platform’s (MEWP’s) are more commonly used in an ever-widening range of industries from construction, industrial and manufacturing – where quick and efficient access is required. Sometimes these machines are known as cherrypickers or genie lifts.

Here at Turner Access Ltd, we offer solutions to all your access requirements ranging from Articulated Boom, Scissor lifts, Personnel Lifts, Self-propelled booms, Rough Terrain to Trailer mounted access platforms. We are not tied to any manufacturer, which means we can source the most appropriate powered access platform for your specific access needs.

Our Powered Access Division offers: Sales Hire (minimum one year) Service Maintenance Contract IPAF Training

Legislation has now come into force for training under the Provision and use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER). This legislation states that all employees must be given training on work equipment including access platform training. With more and more companies receiving claims against them as a result of PUWER, all operatives of MEWP’s are required to undertake proper training.
