Health & Safety Advisors have asked Turner Access to produce a bespoke design utilising towers which incorporate the BetaGuard® (Integral Advanced Guardrail). The health and Safety team contacted Turner Access on behalf of their client who required specific access for carrying out maintenance work on the tops of trains.

Previous practice had been to use ladders and then workers would hook themselves on with a harness. It was felt that this was no longer best practice and that Turner Access’s expertise could be relied upon for a safe yet practical design. Our team are currently in the process of finalising the designs and once this is complete the e-newsletter will be able to report more about the contract.
