This year’s Vertikal Days expanded to include IPAF, ALLMI and PASMA villages. Turner Access was invited to be part of the PASMA village and was given four slots each day in PASMA’s exclusive demo area to show attendees their products. Visitors were also kept busy at Turner Access’s own stand where more equipment was on display. Attending the event were visitors from around the World including some all the way from Bermuda and Australia.
Vertikal Days is in its fifth year, with organisers reporting that visitor numbers were up more than 25 percent from last year and the total stand space for 2011 was sold out (Cranes and Access, 2011). The format of the event has always been laid- back and friendly coupled with the ‘no charge’ all inclusive philosophy- including free parking and free lunch & drinks.
Turner Access chose to exhibit a few products from the collective protection range which promote safety and increases productivity:
The BetaGuard® for aluminium towers: this is the original Integral Advanced Guardrail which prevents the risk of fall when erecting and dismantling towers.
Also on display was the Deltadeck, a piece of fully guardrailled low level equipment which is ideal for working at heights less than 3 metres. The Deltadeck is one complete unit which assembles and dismantles in less than a minute, allowing easy transportation and storage.
