May 2009 saw Turner Access deliver the first Advanced Scaffold Course for Aluminium Towers. The 3 day training programme was based on CPG1, the recently produced Collective Protection Guidance Document.

The 3 days were made up of one day theory, based on the Guidance document, and two days practical.

The practical training covered; Aluminium Tower façade configurations, top lift and fully boarded; Towers using closed stairways; cantilever Towers and linked Towers. 

Feedback from the training course was very positive. One delegate commented:-

“I learned more about health and safety and the procedures before you erect a tower, so the course exceeded my expectations. 10 out of 10. A good mix of practical and written”.
