Triumphant
for the second year running, Turner Access was a clear
winner for the judges.
WELL KNOWN as a scaffolding innovator,
Turner Access has developed several systems in recent
years that not only help improve productivity but also
help eliminate health & safety risks.
Typical is
the new PlusGard advanced guardrail system, which
protects scaffolders while they are actually erecting or
dismantling a scaffold structure. Temporary climbing
guardrails ensure there is fall protection for workers
at all times, without the need to use inconvenient fall
arrest harnesses. Turner’s approach is very much driven
by the hierarchy of safe working practice that underlies
the new Work at Height Regulations. Hence its
innovations are aimed at avoiding risk at the earliest
stage - for example, by removing the risk of a fall
rather than mitigating the effects of a fall.
The judges
were highly impressed by Turner’s approach and its clear
commitment to pursuing best practice in its sector.
