Meet Our Team

 

Our contract scaffolding management team has over 95 years combined experience in the access and scaffolding industry. Individually they bring specialised skills and knowledge; as a team they provide leadership to grow the business.

Our management personnel are supported by a supervisory management team that ensures our operational staff are performing to the highest safety standards and achieving the targets set. This includes a growing team of CISRS qualified scaffolders, apprentices and yard staff, based at our locations in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

 

Roddy MacDonald

General Manager


Roddy has been involved in the scaffolding industry for over 40 years, starting as a trainee scaffolder in 1978 and gaining experiencing in different roles throughout his career, including Supervisor, Contracts Manager, Estimator and Surveyor. In his current role as General Manager, Roddy is responsible for the overall management of Turner Access Contract Scaffolding, including improving operational processes and expanding our customer base.

Alan Kant

Commercial Manager


Alan has been involved in the scaffolding industry for over 34 years, gaining a wealth of experience working in commercial and operational management roles. Alan started with Turner Access in 2018, taking up the position of Commercial Manager, responsible for estimating, surveying, invoicing and account resolution. Ted Bain

Ted Bain – Contracts Manager (East)


Ted joined the company’s contracts management team in the summer of 2018 to manage the Edinburgh depot. Ted has over 18 years experience in the scaffolding industry, particularly in new-build, offshore and industrial sectors. His previous roles include working as a labourer, scaffolder, chargehand and running his own contracting company

Thomas Muir

Operations Manager


Thomas joined the company in 2012, after spending several years with other leading scaffold service providers. He has worked in the scaffolding industry since 1998, gaining experience in operational, supervisory and management roles. As Contracts Manager, Thomas is responsible for ensuring contracts are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
