Turner Access Ltd is a division of the Turner Group; a private family owned and operated business since 1912.
Turner Access Ltd was established in 1984, initially as a scaffold hire and contracts operation. The company has evolved into a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of access equipment for safe working at height. Our product range includes BetaGuard® aluminium access towers, system scaffolding solutions, Collective Protection Equipment (advanced guardrails) and specialist work at height training courses.
At Turner Access Ltd the guiding principle of establishing Best Practice in Scaffolding, Access and Falsework has meant that we have become a leading and respected access innovator and manufacturer of the most advanced products available. This commitment to providing solutions for safe working at height and the development of innovative products and safer processes, coupled with our training, design and full contract services means we can truly offer the customer impartial advice and a complete access package.

Pioneering BEST PRACTICE to Level 1 and 3 of the Hierarchy of Measures and in full compliance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and Manual Handling Regulations, we provide complete fall prevention with our Collective Protection products including Integral Advance Guardrails and Collective Protection Units, all of which are backed by Guidance initially generated by Turner Access, Guidance which the company has made available to Industry through Industry bodies such as SA-FE, NASC and PASMA.
This establishment of safer systems for working safely at height have been developed in consultation with the Health & Safety Executive, Kier Scaffolding, Kier Construction, SA-FE (Safe Access – Fall Elimination), NCC (National Construction College), ANSC (Association of Northern Scaffolding Contractors), Product Solutions Catalysis.

In 2005, Turner Access Ltd contributed to winning RoSPA and Working Well Together awards for the Tinsley Viaduct Project. This contributed significantly to the year’s Quality in Construction Awards.
In 1994, a two man crew erected 100m² of System Scaffolding in 19 minutes 59 seconds - a Guinness World Record!
We also hold records for the highest freestanding structure in scaffolding using our System Scaffolding at the Niagara Gorge, USA where a 65m freestanding hexagonal shape structure was erected.
